Digital Specialist

Location: Dublin or Galway / Hybrid / Remote

Reporting to: Head of Digital Operations

About the Role

We're looking for a capable, detail-oriented Digital Specialist to join our digital team and take ownership of campaign execution across search, social, and programmatic channels. This is a practical, delivery-focused role where you'll manage campaigns from setup through optimisation to reporting, while also being comfortable speaking with clients in clear, jargon-free language.

You'll work across Google Ads, Meta, DV360, and other platforms, ensuring campaigns perform well, budgets are managed effectively, and clients understand what's happening and why. This isn't a pure strategy role - it's about making campaigns work, spotting opportunities for improvement, and communicating progress clearly.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management & Optimisation

  • Implement and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, DV360 and other relevant platforms

  • Monitor performance daily, adjusting bids, budgets, and targeting to hit campaign KPIs

  • Manage campaign pacing and spend to ensure budgets are utilised effectively

  • Handle platform housekeeping including audience lists, creative uploads, campaign naming conventions, and billing checks

Tracking & Analytics

  • Manage tracking, tagging and troubleshooting across GA4, GTM and conversion pixels

  • Ensure accurate conversion tracking and attribution setup across all campaigns

  • Identify and resolve tracking issues or discrepancies between platforms

Reporting & Client Communication

  • Build clear, actionable reports that clients can understand and use

  • Join client calls and meetings to explain performance, next steps, and recommendations in straightforward language

  • Present campaign updates without overloading clients with jargon

  • Track campaign documentation, budgets, and timelines accurately

Collaboration & Operations

  • Work closely with the account team to ensure campaign execution aligns with client objectives

  • Coordinate internally to ensure deadlines, creative assets, and client requests are delivered on time

  • Support invoicing, reconciliations, and spend tracking processes

  • Stay on top of platform updates and share relevant learnings with the wider team

Experience:

  • 1-2 years' in platform experience managing paid search, paid social, and/or programmatic/display campaigns

  • Agency or in-house marketing team experience preferred

Platform Knowledge:

  • Confident with Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max)

  • Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager

  • Experience with DV360 or strong willingness to learn quickly

  • Other platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest) are a plus

Analytics & Tracking:

  • Solid understanding of GA4 and campaign performance measurement

  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking

  • Comfortable troubleshooting tracking issues and discrepancies

Communication & Personal Skills:

  • Comfortable presenting work and speaking with clients directly

  • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language

  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture

  • Self-sufficient and able to manage multiple campaigns independently

  • Problem-solver who enjoys finding ways to improve results within budget
