Buymedia celebrates Belfast Launch

Buymedia's growth journey reaches a new stage, with its Belfast office expansion

Last Tuesday we celebrated the opening of our office in Belfast, marking an exciting new chapter in Buymedia’s growth journey. The Belfast office will further support Buymedia’s plans to invest £1.5 million and create 30 jobs over the next three years between the UK and Ireland.

To celebrate the milestone, we were honored to host Northern Ireland’s First Minister, Michelle O’Neill MLA, alongside special guests including stakeholders, innovators and business leaders from across the region.

Speaking at the launch, First Minister Michelle O'Neill stated:

"This investment will create new jobs, support skills development, and strengthen our economy. It shows that the North is a place where businesses want to be, and that's something we should all be proud of."

Deputy first minister Emma Little-Pengelly also commented on the launch saying it “further cements Northern Ireland’s reputation as a growing centre for innovation and digital enterprise as we continue to play our part on the world stage in this exciting sector”.

The launch also featured an insightful panel discussion with Clair Gheel, Sales & Operations Director at eir Ireland, a longstanding Buymedia client, who shared how the platform drives focused B2B targeting and granular reporting to deliver highly effective media spending in practice.

The Belfast expansion follows the launch of our UK headquarters in Manchester late last year,  where we have quickly embedded ourselves in the region's thriving tech ecosystem. Our CEO and founder, Fergal O'Connor was named Tech Leader of the Year at the North West Leadership Awards 2026 and we were shortlisted as one of the three companies for Tech Company of the Year at the Prolific North Champions Awards 2026.

From presenting at the Northern Marketing Festival across Manchester, Leeds, and Liverpool, to delivering keynotes at Manchester Metropolitan University and joining panels at GRAFT UK, our traction in the North of England has validated our approach to scaling internationally.
