10 Years of Buymedia | 2025 in Review

Over the past decade, Buymedia has evolved from an Irish adtech innovator into a trusted media buyer and planning partner for brands navigating an increasingly complex and challenging media landscape

As we celebrate 10 years in business, we maintain a strong focus on making advertising more accessible, efficient and effective for SMEs and independent agencies, via our data-driven AI adtech platform.

Through our work with key stakeholders, industry forums, university partnerships, policy roundtables, and collaborations across Ireland and now the UK, Buymedia has contributed to conversations and advised on AI, advertising effectiveness, and the future of measurement in 2025. Whether its mid-large SMEs, enterprise level organisations or agencies the message has remained consistent: analysing and gaining key insights from data leads to clarity and action and better return on investment (ROI).

This momentum continued with our UK expansion and the launch of our UK headquarters in early October in Manchester - the UK’s most AI-ready city, defined by community, collaboration, innovation, and ambition.

We’re grateful for the invaluable support from Enterprise Ireland, Prolific North, Platform94, GM Business Growth Hub, MIDAS, Marketing Manchester, Dogpatch Labs, Manchester Digital, and our Manchester home - Sister.

We also have unwavering backing from Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham who said: “Buymedia is already a standout success in Ireland’s tech sector, and we’re proud they’ve chosen Manchester as their UK launchpad. This is a major step in their international journey and a vote of confidence in our region’s innovation and technology ecosystem.”

We entered the global conversation around AI and advertising, with our CEO, Fergal O’Connor, being featured in Fast Company providing his views and insights as to how AI-powered search and generative answers could reshape the economics of Google Ads, not as an apocalypse, but as another evolution an adaptive industry can survive and reinvent.

From being recently featured as one of the Top 50 Startups in Manchester in Entrepreneur UK magazine, Startups Magazine, Business Cloud, Insider, Prolific North Live, Manchester Digital Member Conference and The Business Show London, these conversations reinforced one message: data and insights remain the foundation of effective advertising, and AI is the amplifier.

10 Years of Buymedia

We were also proud to sponsor the Bluebird Care National Conference and Awards Gala in Manchester, a reminder that impact isn’t just commercial. From celebrating compassion to recognising leaders like Paula O’Keeffe, whose work helped transform lives through care and connection, it was an honour to stand alongside organisations making a real difference. Our CEO also had the privilege of presenting the Marketing Award on the night.

Recognition followed, including an Effie shortlist with the Marie Keating Foundation and a place among the top 100 companies in the Deloitte EMEA Technology Fast 50, one of just four Irish companies to achieve this.

As we step into 2026, we’re building and scaling on a decade of hard-earned insight to ensure businesses of every size can compete on the strength of their decisions, not the size of their budgets.

We are excited for the year ahead and wish all our team, partners and clients - past, present and future - a successful and happy 2026.
